Ante el Elche, el FC Barcelona ha vuelto a conseguir mantener la portería a cero, y ya lleva cuatro jornadas consecutivas en Liga. Desde el gol encajado en Anoeta el 21 de agosto, los culés acumulan cuatro partidos de Liga consecutivos sin encajar un gol: Valladolid, Sevilla, Cádiz y Elche.
Entonces, Marc ter Stegen acumula cuatro jornadas sin cobrar, y sumado al ‘portero a cero’ de la primera jornada ante el Rayo Vallecano, ya son 5 los porterías a cero en seis jornadas. Solo un gol encajado en los seis primeros partidos de Liga, completando uno de los mejores inicios de los últimos años, solo superado por el de la temporada 2014/15.
En cuanto a las marcas personales del portero alemán, es la 5ª vez que consigue acumular cuatro jornadas sin encajar un gol. La primera fue en 2016, lo hizo dos veces en 2018 y también una más en 2020. Ahora en este 2022 también son cuatro, y si consigue mantener la portería a cero ante el Mallorca al día siguiente igualará su mejor marca personal: durante la temporada 2019/20 encadenó hasta cinco jornadas consecutivas sin encajar un solo gol.
En esta racha de cinco jornadas en 2020 ha acumulado hasta 500 minutos sin encajar gol, y actualmente ya son 444 minutos sin encajar. Desde el gol de Isak en la jornada 2, Ter Stegen no encaja, por lo que si consigue no encajar en los primeros 56 minutos ante el Mallorca, el alemán superará su marca personal, que se remonta a la campaña 2019/20.
