El primer puesto lo sigue ocupando Eric Vila, que debutó con 16 años y 6 meses en la temporada 2014/15. Sarr es ahora el segundo jugador más joven por delante de Jordi Soler (17), Stefan Peno (17 años y 4 meses), Ferran Martínez (17 años y 5 meses) y Juan Carlos Navarro (17 años y 5 meses).
Si debuta en la Euroliga en esta temporada 2022/23, Dame Sarr se convertirá en el jugador más joven en debutar en Europa con el Barça por delante de su compañero James Nnaji, que lo hizo con 17 años y tres meses.
Nacida en Oderzo (Treviso, Italia), Dame Sarr comenzó a jugar al baloncesto en 2012, a la edad de seis años. Estuvo en el equipo de su ciudad natal hasta 2019, cuando con 13 años se fue a Bassano para emprender una nueva aventura.
En el Bassano del Grappa estuvo tres temporadas y en la temporada 2020/21 Sarr creció 20 centímetros y pasó de mediapunta a alternar posiciones de escolta y delantero. En la temporada 2021/22, el Barça disputó un torneo en Bassano y Sarr fue uno de los jugadores más destacados.
En el verano de 2022 llegó a Barcelona para jugar con el equipo juvenil y con el Barça Atlètic. Actualmente, vive en La Masia.
