Después de eliminar el domingo al Barbastro en octavos de final de la Copa del Rey, el lunes se produjo el sorteo de la siguiente ronda de la competición, ante el FC Barcelona. Unionistas de Salamanca.
Los octavos de final se jugarán el miércoles 17 de enero a las 21.00 horas o el jueves 18 de enero a las 19.30 horas, según si el Barça llega o no a la final de la Supercopa de España, en el Campo de Fútbol Reina Sofía.
Unionistas de Salamanca se fundó en 2013 y alcanzó los octavos de final de la Copa del Rey tras vencer en los dieciseisavos de final al Gernika, al Sporting de Gijón de segunda división y al Villarreal de primera división en los penaltis. Jugó durante dos días debido a una falla en la iluminación de su campo.
La RFEF de Primera está en el mismo grupo que el Barça Atlètic y los unionistas se enfrentaron la semana pasada al conjunto de Rafa Márquez en el Estadi Johan Cruyff. Los visitantes se impusieron por 2-0 gracias a los goles de Slavy y Álvaro Gómez.
